The actual door weight determines the correct spring rating. Use one of these methods.
- Check the label for TorqueMaster systems. Many Wayne Dalton spring tubes include a balance weight or part number on the tube label.
- Weigh the door. With all spring tension safely removed and the opener disconnected, place a scale under the center of the door to record its true weight.
